After upgraded from WP 1.5.2 to WP 2.1.3, many of us noticed about the preview of every post that we made. The preview that we can refer to in our administrator Write Post. This is a great new feature. But also many aware that it is also annoying sometimes, especially when you have slow internet connection while trying to edit the post which you have made.

Some guides for those who want to disable the Preview section inside our administrator new post or edit post area. Hope this would help.

Before proceeding, please make sure that you have backup the files which you are needed to edit as follows. There are 2 option which you might be interested to make changes of it to disable or enable.

Files to backup : post.php and edit-form-advanced.php

Tips 1 : Disable Preview in Wordpress admin post area

1. Find the filename “post.php” which is located under the directory of wp-admin on your server.
2. Edit it using notepad or other PHP editor.
3. Search for the line “id-preview”.
4. Add a remark similar to this.

5. Done. Now you will not see the preview anymore, unless you have remove the remarks.

Tips 2 : Disable Preview in Wordpress admin post area or Enable as you wish

1. You must do the first Tips 1 before you want to proceed here.
2. Download this file : edit-form-advanced.ed and rename it to edit-form-advanced.php before you proceed.
3. Overwrite or upload this file to the wp-admin directory.
4. Once you have done, you will notice a new tab under the custom field, which you can disable and enable at any time. Similar to this :
