Software giant TCS dropped 2.3%, to Rs 1,798 despite reporting 35% growth in Q1 June 2006 net profit. Some of the industry also affected due to the amount of increase of newcomer.
Ahead of the results, the stock had lost nearly 1% on Tuesday (18 July) to Rs 1,841.75. Earlier, the stock had risen 7% in a single trading session on 12 July after IT bellwether Infosys revised upwards both earnings and revenue guidance for FY 2007.
